FSS Schemes — Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions from our members.

The three tiers differ in coverage benefit amount and contribution levels. Platinum offers the highest family security benefit with correspondingly higher contributions, Premier is a balanced mid-tier plan, and Primary is the most affordable entry-level cover. All three follow the same fraternity-pool model.
Scheme changes are subject to the rules in force and eligibility at the time of the request. Contact the FSS office or raise a request through your member portal to discuss upgrading your tier.
Contributions are set per term based on the number of claims in the pool and the benefit payable, so each tier shares costs fairly among its members. The exact amount for each cycle is published as a term bill in your member account.
Yes. On a verified claim, the pooled benefit for the member’s scheme tier is paid to the registered nominee, helping the family meet financial needs after the loss of the member.
Eligible IMA-AP doctors can apply online through the enrollment page or contact the FSS office. You will need your IMA membership details and basic identity and nominee information.
